What are the big classroom management software apps that people use and how much do they cost? I'm just looking for a system that can monitor workstations, take screenshots, lock computers ect from a central console.
We have been quoted £500 and an additional yearly cost per machine for our current software from a local company but it seems a little high.

We use NetOps.. don't have the prices to hand as I've finished tfor the day, but can look them up tomorrow.
This has been discussed to death in many places.... so if you do a search there will be a wealth of information. I however use AB Tutor control since its £100 (ish) per Tutor licence with no on going fees and no client license.
fooby
We run sychroneyes by Smart, bought it a while ago, £3500 for a site license, unlimited teacher installs. WE were using netop till it decided not to work, and so we went for Sychroneyes, teachers love it.

We moved from Imperata, due to its sudden and bizarre failure, over to ABTutor control. Superb, especially for the price!
NetSupport School / Ranger Remote Control £18-£24 a licence depending on amount purchased.
No different Tutor/Teacher and Student licences, just a 'per pc' licence.
We can't afford the software. I have tried iTalc (free) but to be honest it isn't very reliable. The server software crashes as do the clients and I couldn't get the server software to run from a client running on the server which I thought was the whole point in this sort of software.
I am considering Ranger Control as we have Ranger Primary but I think they rip you off for this stuff.
Same, I almost fainted when I was allowed to spend £3500 on it.Originally Posted by snrweb
We didn't buy maintenance though, they wouldn't stretch the extra £500 for it![]()
Lanview3 is free and does what you mentioned above.
A search on this forum will give you loads of info![]()
I feel that Lanview has bit too much control over the clients. Can't remember why I came to that conclusion now....
AB Tutor works out about £100 per teacher PC if you ahve 4+ its not bad.
What do you mean by that? I thought Ranger Remote Control was cheaper than buying it as NetSupport School?Originally Posted by starscream
PM me if you want a price. (Sorry for the plug but it's the end of the month as i'm sure others on here are aware!)
