I can't see to find an msi just the standard setup exe that i downloaded from Ranger. I might have to give them a ring.

oh can you tell me if the adm files are user or computer based should they be added to an OU containing computers or an OU containing users?

    Thanks.

We do produce an MSI for Ranger so they should be able to supply you with it.

The templates are user based (at least the ones we supply are)

Ah the toolbar, the very reason I reverted back to the version 8 client It didn't seem to want to turn off for me.

I really like the NS9 suite though, you should wave at me when I drive past your building every morning.

    keep it up!

@Scruff: Hmm, turning off the toolbar should be saved in the registry so it shouldn't appear next time.

If you look in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\NetSupport Ltd\PCICTL\ConfigList\NetSupport School you should see a number of keys that read StudentToolbar\EnableXXX. There is one that says StudentToolbar\EnableStudentUI. If this is set to "1" it will be shown, if it is set to "0" it shouldn't be shown at the student.

Where are you heading when you drive past?

Re: New Version and new features in NetSupport School

I contacted Ranger and they said the .msi can be extracted from the setup.exe file, this can be deployed via GPO but they don't support it.

I'll give it a try anyway as i'd like to automate the process.

Re: New Version and new features in NetSupport School

Is there any way to insert the licence details into the .msi file or is there a way for me to get a copy of the EncryptionUtility.exe mentioned in this link?

    Thanks.
