At our place it is unlimited. However, i would like to put in a limit so staff have to be more careful on what they store. I would probably go for 5-10gb if i had the choice but its up to the manager who want to keep it as unlimited at the mo.

Unlimited but the majority of staff accounts are reasonable - Music, IT and Graphics teachers appear to take the most space.

    Unlimited, but...

Things have been better since I've been policing the storage of photos. Now they're kept on the Media share and people don't save them in their home drives as they have this nasty tendancy to disappear without warning.

It is in our AUP that photos won't be kept in home drives and the photo dleeting fairy does it with the blessing of the HT (I'm not owning up to doing it )

Originally, 8 years ago they were given 100MB. Staff who have been here as long (or longer) have had theirs gradually increase in line with the files they need to store. When we upgraded to CC4 with a SAN in February of this year, all staff are given a default 500MB quota (apart from those who already used more than that).

3GB, most are nowhere near that though. I also have quotas on the their faculty folders on the shared area. The reason I have strict quotas is I have more storage space than backup capacity.....

6GB here, which is vastly more than enough for most - just a couple of staff had about 5.5GB (mostly junk/personal files/photos) so they had to rationalise a bit when I set it up. That does mean I have 200% storage allocated though...

Unlimited so long as it's relevant to work, same as the kids.

Most staff have aronund 800MB-1GB. The problem with staff laptops is that they take them home, treat them as personal laptops and put all their personal music/photos on. I've been telling them not to and deleted a load of music last week (no complaints yet >). Some staff have huge .pst files so I end up increasing their quotas. I keep telling them that they don't need 8GB of emails!!
