ranger 5.7 problem

hi all

after upgrading ranger to the latest version 5.7.0.1173

we are no longer able to capture screens using Lan Ranger

i have tried the ranger knowledge base and also reapplied the upgrade using the hidden technician override in the upgrade software.Ranger are not been very helpful on phone.so just wondering if anyone else having same problem?

all workstations on win xp service 2 and server using windows 2003 service pack 2.

First thing I'd check is permissions on the Sshots directory beneath your Ranger folder

All users need Read/Write Access to this (so they can create the file)

i have checked this!!! had no problem with previous version

what was strange was when i did the upgrade i was able to capture screens on the workstations that had not updated to the new version but has soon has they were rebooted and updated bang screen capture not working.

tried reinstalling upgrade and also reinstalling ranger on a couple of computers but no luck yet

Not used Ranger for years (and even then I used NetSupport proper instead of LanRanger) but have you tried a machine that is not upgraded... i.e. one that did not have the previous version on?

Hi Folks.

Just wanted to clarify, Lan Ranger is not provided by NetSupport, we provide the Ranger Remote Control module. I can only guess therfore that the LanRanger element is by Sentennial themselves.

I did a quick search and saw this tech doc on their website for LanRanger and screenshots, which might help ?
