Spiceworks problem
Spiceworks seemed to install OK, but gets no further than 'Starting up'. I have left it for a matter of hours.
Pc is running Vista SP2 and I am logged on as network manager. 4GB RAM, AMD Athlon dual core proc 2.6 GHz.
I can no find no errors in the event logs. Everything, in fact, seems fine, it just doesn't work!
Any help/suggestions would be very much appreciated.

16th February 2011, 11:02 AM #2 Have you rebooted? its quite an intensive program, the startup sometimes goes wonky. What does task manager say?

I have rebooted - I have been trying to sort this for several days! Task manager says: Spiceworks - Starting Up - Windows Internet Explorer Running.

Sound like you have some malware.
Vista SP2.

I've checked with malwarebytes and virus checked.
Thanks for trying.

kath I think that was free870's attempt at humour, saying that the problem is Vista SP2.

Took SW suggestion and moved over to Chrome and now it flies!

I use Firefox or Chrome when using Spiceworks. IE just doesn't seem to like it.
