    Just got a WFS709TP

Ok just taken delviery of a nice Shiny new Netgear WFS709TP Access Controller and 8 WAGL102's

Have managed to get it working - but the (lack of) manuals and web interface are not very clear

We want to create a Wireless Cloud within the school in key areas

I have set it up using a Captive Portal forwhen they connect and allowed guest login for now!

What I want is to get them to login to it with their Domain credentials - Do I need to use RADIUS or is there a way to enable LDAP?
If I need to use RADIUS, how do I setup a RADIUS Server on Windows 2008 R2)

Eeek.... Now you're asking... I know I've posted up a link somewhere to a BIG powerpoint or PDF guide that covers a LOT more than the normal manual so a search should uncover that.

As to Win2k8R2 or LDAP.. Not a clue I'm afraid but RADIUS is the way I've gone... Hope that helps.

Cheers - dowloaded it and looking through it

Found how to add an AD server - so gonna try it now.. (Config -> Advanced -> Security -> AAA Servers)

Think I'll leave the "Plan" and ARM areas alone for now - as thats confusing the hell outta me!

I did the same but I must admit the Plan side of things is quite useful IF you can get hold of a digital plan of the school to scale.

It's been a big help in reorganising frequency settings and the like...

Will have to work on a digital map.. it was all the blurb about dimensions, etc that put me right off!

The LDAP server "worked" but wouldn't log anyone in (it tested successfully) so back to guest email for now...
