CC4 Anywhere
We're launching CC4 Anywhere at BETT. It's an exciting new addition to CC4 that increases its flexibility and extends its use like never before.
Powered by Citrix XenApp 5, the market leading application virtualisation and thin client solution, CC4 Anywhere enables you to access your CC4 network from any place with Internet access using almost any device. This includes Microsoft Windows PCs, Linux and Windows miniBooks, Apple Macs and mobile technology such as smart phones and Apple iPhones.
CC4 Anywhere helps you to provide a more flexible approach to teaching and learning. Your teachers and learners can use their personal devices to access all their CC4 resources whether they're in school, at home, or out and about. It also helps you to manage CC4 more easily as you can access the RM Management Console securely wherever you are using any device with an Internet connection.
Could be interesting?

16th December 2009, 08:45 AM #3 I heard about this at the recent tech seminar, could be the "thing" which justifies moving to CC4. Will definitely take a look at BETT.

Arguable, no problems here with it at multiple sites. Also a very interesting quote - I know one school who'd be very interested and oddly enough I know the head's going to BETT. I've just thrown him an email to go and give it a looksee!

The members over at the RM Communities would disagree with you! Even CC3 owners get a short stick.

17th December 2009, 08:35 AM #10 I'll be looking at this closely, we're looking at moving to thin clients on CC4. Anyone actually got any thin clients on CC4?

Will be interesting to see what they have come up with, we already have a Citrix solution working very nicley with CC3 so will be nice to see if there CC4 solution would bring us anything extra really.

17th December 2009, 09:00 AM #12 We were told about this by our account manager & we said why not do it for CC3 too, if it is just a Citrix implementation it can't be tied to CC4 & we were told he would look into it.
We would be very interested in it though.

Because then we'd have less reason to move from CC3...

20th January 2010, 10:47 AM #15 I'm very interested in this...
...but also worried by "just install any Citrix®-compatible application".
Most of our software barely works on Windows.
