I've just been by the MST site and it's been closed. Kevin has decided to call it a day and left this message -
All I can do is thank Kevin and everyone who has anything to do with MST, and say that their programmes have been extremely useful to me.Notice to the MST community
MST started in the late 1990’s as a freeware software house. Since then, we’ve kept to our principle. Write useful, free software for everyone.
11 years later MST Software has finally closed its IDE for the last time.
Kevin would like to thank everyone who has donated in the recent years – they helped keep MST going for another two years.
My promise...
I will commit to completing the LanView 4 product. To all those who have donated, I will email you a link to download the final LanView 4 release. This is my way of saying thank you for your help. However, there will be no updates to the product and no method of support. I cannot give an ETA when this will be done.
Rest assured, this is not due to financial reasons. I have simply lost the passion for programming.
I'd like to say a big thank you to Mike who has been running the ship for the last few years. It’s been a pleasure.
Goodbye
Kevin
I wish Kevin all the best for the future.

Sad news, LanView is invaluable to me.![]()
He will be sorely missed - Russ & I helped with Kevin at MST a few years ago (the very early days of EduGeek), and it was brilliant to be part of something that has been so useful to so many - LanView is invaluable here too.
As for support - don't forget to post here on EduGeek & we'll do our best to help.
Sorry to see MST go, I find Lanview very useful, in fact I am using it right now. Best wishes to the MST Team
Thanks Kevin for a great product.
Lanview & Traffic Lights being used to great effect here as well as saving us plenty of money on electricity bills with scheduled WoLs and shutdowns.
Great piece of kit which got me through some very tough times when I was a 1 man band here.

I wonder if I can make them an offer on their software and we'll put it into the projects?
It’s a shame, I just wish I could have got my school to donate a 2nd time. But they refused![]()

I use lanview daily here . . . . very sad to see them go!
I personally donated instead
@Dosbox: If you want a donation towards this I would be more than happy to contribute.
Wes
Thanks for all your comments.
To those talking about maybe making an offer, I very much doubt that Kevin will sell the products.

Such a sad thing, I was just about to sort it for my current place to start using that over messing with VNCs and stuffI grabbed a load of files I wanted last week but not got them all
I'd agree with DBs suggestion of seeing if we can do something on here to assist / continue the life of them though. Its such a great set of products and items its worth living on.
I just saw this too, best peice of software i ever donated too. I used it constantly.
gutted, been using lanview 3 for the past 3 years now and it's been invaluble
shame to see it go
