18th December 2008, 10:10 AM #1 Photobox.co.uk - HELP!
Hey folks,
I know most of you are starting to wind down but I could really use some help. Our ICT Teacher wants the pupils to use photobox.co.uk but they can't load it yet she can (and so can I). We're CC3, here's the steps I've taken to troubleshoot it.
Checked with proxy - this isn't blocking it (even our whitelist proxy allows it to load fully when logged on as me)
Checked with testteacher account which can't load it - has the same usetype as the ICT user who CAN load it (which is what I find most bizarre)
Checked to see if Java/Flash is the problem - doesn't appear to be
What happens when a pupil tries to access it is they get the content - just not the css (so it appears).
I've checked for subsites etc where CSS might be stored but nothing showing really other than assets.photobox.co.uk and as I say, when logged on as me going through the proxy it works fine so can't be a blocked address.

18th December 2008, 10:15 AM #2 Who's proxy are you using?
Is there anyway to enable a per user log and see the steps it takes to download it?
Maybe any other IE security details? can you add it to trusted sites? can firefox load it?
....also isn't letting them use somethig that requires debit/credit card payment a bit dodgy..?

18th December 2008, 10:21 AM #3 Are you all using the same browser?
The code on that site uses loads of IF tests for browser version, perhaps one of those is failing?

18th December 2008, 10:30 AM #4 I've tried creating a new user - no luck
It's a SmartCache that we're using for the proxy.
It worked on my IE and Firefox but the kids only have access to IE - I'll try adding it as a trusted site.
Update in a little while

18th December 2008, 10:52 AM #8 Right. Added the site as a trusted site - didn't work. (Obv checked to make sure the setting was applied).
The done bit (bottom-left) give the error:
Line 1164
Object expected
Which according to my sources is this line:
Code:
<div class="body" id="pbx_bubble_content"></div>

18th December 2008, 11:05 AM #10 THANKS KMOUNT - can't believe I missed the address.
Added assets.photobox.com (not.co.uk) and that got it working - what a school boy error!

Easiest thing in the world to do when you are under a bit of pressure from a member of staff.
