Default Old Clients in SMS 2003

My Predecessor had a licensee for SMS 2003 that he never used. I have absolutely no knowledge of experience of it and over the past months I have set it up and got it running.

It happily deploys the client automatically, does H/W & S/W audits i have even managed to deploy software with it.

But I now have an issue where any old pc's are not removed, this wasn’t a problem with one or two PC's but we reimaged a lot of the IT Suites over half term and there are now a lot of PC's in the list that have gone, they are not marked as obsolete, they just say that the client is not installed.

If I try and create a new collection or an SQL query with "no client" it doesn’t pick them up either . Ive looked on the interweb too and no one makes any suggestions.

Am i missing something here?
