Blocked for students but not teachers.
I personally think it can be a useful tool, but (needless to say) the teachers never employ suitable caution. I've seen them search for a topic whilst projecting their screen to the Smartboard and fail to notice that in the comments below the Martin Luther King clip they were showing were a bunch of CAPITALIZED SWEAR WORDS .

Tell them that you will only approve certain videos on a case by case basis and will only unblock them if they are needed for the lesson, or tell them to send you a link to the video and you will download it and place it on the network for them.

maybe you got lucky or someone flagged it before you but it took almost a week (5 days shortest - 8 days longest) for the videos to be removed.

We've been told we have to block YouTube by our BB Consortium and L.E.A - for both staff and students due to 'unfiltered content', which can't be 'filtered appropriately'.
Fair enough I suppose.
Caused a lot of anger between staff as they loved it for resources - but we just told them to prepare more and (if youtube offers the download link under a video) download it and bring it in.
