Viglen
Hi Guys,
Im newly registered, so hello everbody
. Im working for a school, where we are thinking of getting a managed network system. I've searched in previous threads that viglen are not that good, but these posts were from around 3-5 years ago.
Does anybody have the viglen network, are they any good, service, support etc?
Thanks
H

11th March 2008, 12:53 PM #3 I use Viglen Classlink 7. It crashes at least twice a week forcing us to reboot the server, has a horrible interface that requires many steps where one step could be used, is slow, has terrible remote control software that disconnects all the time and I wish I had a vanilla Windows network to work with.
Don't bother with it and save yourself some money and pain.

What do you mean when you say crashes? What part stops working?
As far as I am aware the remote control software is just re branded and not made by Viglen although I could be wrong. I've used the remote control software and never had any problems with it.

13th March 2008, 02:01 PM #6 Its the administration interface you access by clicking the side bars on the desktop. Page loads fine, search results appear fine, click to look at the search results and it times out. Not that I like the interface anyway with links hidden in the corner of the screen and requiring you to wade through a dozen pages to get where you want to go. We have no idea what causes it, rest of the network runs fine.
Remote Control Software tends to disconnect at times though luckily not a problem that happens too often.
Let's just say so far, Viglen aren't on my list of suppliers I'd buy from if I move jobs.
