Ranger Shared Files

At the moment we have Ranger setup with a general shared area for everybody. Pupil and staff users can read and only admins can write. Can somebody tell me if it is possible for staff and admins to have write access to the shared folder and if so, how you go about doing it. I'm sure it's really simple but I can't seem to get it to work. I've setting the correct permissions on the folder itself but when I login as a staff user, I still only get read access.

Sorry for posting. Was missing something and it's all sorted now with the right permissions on the folder.
