    We replaced Ranger/NetSupport with LanSchool its very cheap. We looked at Impero but it had loads of other stuff we didn't want, they don't offer a solution for only classroom management so decided against it.

    Impero here, it does have loads of other useful features in addition to the classroom control!

    We use Impero here having used NetSupport in the past. The additional functionality within Impero is very useful - Mimic Scripts for example. Also works on Terminal Servers very well.

    Impero, it's just plain awesome. We've had it in place for what seems like an eternity and it still keeps surprising us. E-safety, classroom control, classroom management, PC management, remote support, impromptu software deployments, schedules and shedloads more besides. We rank it as our best buy of the year.
    On top of it's functionality, the guys at Impero are massively helpful to any questions, queries and open to many suggestions. We had a chat about it here last week and both of us would put money on them getting very big very soon, for all the right reasons.

    Likewise, Impero here since 2008 and haven't looked back. Really wouldn't like to run a school network without it.

    Depending on your budget you could always look at AB Tutor control, for the price it does what it says on the tin

    Impero here too;

    We had Impero but were forced to swap it for NetSupport (thanks to BSF!) After 15 months we went back to Impero ...... staff are much happier, cannot say the same for students

    We looked at Impero, netsupport and ABtutor.

    Went with ABtutor as it was 25% of the price of the other software(depending on how many admin liceneses you buy). Works well, I did a review here

    [Review] ABtutor 7

    Impero here too, we don't get our hands dirty with it but we hear good things!

    MSI Deployment is handy to have too, SCCM takes an age to do anything whereas Impero is instant.

    Impero Support are spot on as well, usually they give a call back within a couple of hours even to a minor question or issue. Much better than any other support I've dealt with.

    We use Netop's Vision. Pretty good, it was already out rolled here when I started but I've had no big issues with it since of been using it. It's not mega expensive, a hell of a lot cheaper then Impero apparently.
    Check it out: Classroom Management Software for Schools & Teachers | Netop Vision

    Hope this helps.

    LanSchool for us; it is just classroom management software without all the other stuff on top that NSS and Impero have, and that was all I wanted. Paid once for a site licence and that's us done - no on-going costs. Works a charm for what we need it to do.

    Depends what you're after though - something to be at the heart of all your IT Support or just something for teachers to stop kids wasting time
