For some reason 10 days ago we lost the ability to build any machine apart from some old RM Expert 3030s. RM have been onto it but are not getting anyway, anyone else had any issues recently?

As I said in the other thread, we've had problems before. Though everythng is OK at the moment.
What's happening when you try to build?
Also, have you tried a fresh build disk? [Also try a legacy build disk if you use standard.]
Also also [risky 2x combo], have you tried smartclient?
Also also also [epic 3x combo], what, if anything, happened 10 days ago? Have you had any work done?

What happened 10 days ago to stop everything else building? Did you install a new driver pack or anything. Can you restore your build area from tape back to 11 days ago?
It's very very very slow to start building, we PXE boot everything, it takes up to an hour to get to admin screen for building, normally it takes 2-3 minutes.
Fresh disk created today, (by RM in case I was doing anything wrong with the driver needed for one machine to test), no luck. 32% complete importing the OS image, 237 minutes remaining, its been going for 120 minutes already. It will fail after about 5 hours of trying to build
Tried smartclient and it joins the domain then fails
Nothing that we are aware of happened 10 days ago. My first failure was just over 2 weeks ago as we took a delivery of 24 RM211 machines, I started building these for a suite and had 2 out of 6 fail so I put them to one side and carried on with new ones. Once I got my 3 failed machine I also got an older 201 fail which have never given us any issues before. Now everything apart from our old 3030s fail either PXE or boot disk build, even VMs on my standalone machine.
The only thing I can think that is ties in with is start of term and more network traffic, being a boarding school we have our own machines as well as the pupils own laptops\iPads on the network. I tried on Saturday building a machine as the overall traffic was at a low point and it made no difference.

If you can that would be great, this is driving me nuts. The last time we had a problem like this, it turned out to be Endpoint was not setup correctly by RM. This is their latest suggestion
1.) Reverse pointers for CC4.3 First server
2.) From the DHCP Scope Options, change the DNS Domain name to "local"
3.) Change the Preferred DNS Server to loopback address (127.0.0.1) on the CC4.3 First server

@Danp:
Do you use PXE build or do you use disks/USBpendrives?
I suspect it could be to do with driver issues due to the fact that you can still build your RM workstations as you have stated,
I have never put the driver packs on as we use our own drivers and import them in via the MMC.
My Bad: have just read the posts previously and someone has already asked these questions.

PXE boot (F12) but have been doing the odd machines with build disk. I too thought it was drivers as the RM211 would not build at first, installed latest driver packs as advised by RM, removed the ones not needed as advised and they started working. Week later, nothing apart from the shittiest computers we have build, great. This morning they have been connected to our FRDC and checked our drivers and say they are all correct.

Have you tried plugging one in directly to the core switch and seeing if that improves it. Have you checked the port speeds on your switches ... we fell foul of this, for some reason some of our network cards were setting the ports to be 10 meg.

Thank you. The RM guy is going through our drivers now as that is the only think I can think of now.
Still not luck.
Old RM 3030s still build fine though
Anyone else have the following drivers installed?
RM Notebook 320 WinPE Lan driver. The WINPE LAN Realtek driver version is 6.250.908.2011
Can you check which OS is listed for it?
i have it listed for "Microsoft Windows PE All Versions"
