Windoows Vista Client "Beta"
Has anyone installed the Vista beta client? If so could you list any problems/strange issues and also if you have had any success getting the Novell GINA to be the primary GINA. Thanks!

Yep - "Tree not found" - gave up!!!
Not too distraught, as the probability of using Vista in the foreseeable future is pretty slim!!

Update -
Loaded Novell Client Beta 3 on a Vista machine last week - so far seems to works fine.

Re: Windows Vista Client
Loaded Novell Vista Client 1.0 a couple of weeks ago.
Seems generally OK, but occasionally comes up with "Tree or server not found".

I would suggest putting the ip address of your server into the client rather than leaving it blank

Where is this setting in client properties?

Re: Windoows Vista Client "Beta"
I don't have vista in front of me atm but it should be in the same location as for an XP machine:
right-click on the red N in the systray --> properties
location profiles tab
highlight 'default' and click properites
select 'logon service' as the service and 'default' as the instance, then click properties
untick 'save profile after successful login'
clear the username field
edirectory tab
fill in tree name, default context and put the ip address of the server rather than the name
then just click ok, ok, ok and reboot when requested

Cheers - I was expecting a preferred server option on the Client tab, like XP.
I'll give it a whirl....
