We are looking to bring outside devices into our district. So if a kid wants to bring there computer from home we want to be able to do that as long as they bring it by our office first to install security software. Also we want to be able to track the kids by MAC address the IP address tied to that MAC address using software at the district level.
Also I am looking at some kind of Network Access Control software. Does anyone have any experience with Network Access Control software. How much configuration does it take to deploy. I am under the impression you have to make a MAC address list. Then configure all routers and switches to check the NAC software to see if they are in the list before handing the traffic off to the DHCP server.
Any help would be huge.
