Novell and Google Mini

Here is a unusual combination!

We got one of these new fangled Google Mini devices and rather than index a web server (the easy option!) the powers that be would like to try and index one of our Netware volumes...

The only way I can see to do this would be via LDAP but I'm not having any luck with the settings, anyone got any ideas?

LDAP won't give the Google appliance access to the Netware filesystem.

As far as I know you can only index against a web server or a CIFS share, either of which you could set up on Netware. Personally I wouldn't want to do either of those things. Even if you managed to index the volume the search results would be formatted as http urls or as UNC paths to a CIFS share whereas you would want your users to access via the Netware client - wouldn't you?

Use Novell's QuickFinder first. That will provide you with a searchable index for your Google Mini.
