How many people on edugeek use Netware still???

I am using Netware 6.5 SP7 and Zenworks 7.

Yep still using it here.

Netware 6.5, Zen 7 and GroupWise 7.

I believe we are the only ones still using it in the county now!

Know of one school using it in nearby Bath.

Actually we don't really use Zen in any great capacity as it often ends up creating more problems than it solves!

Yep, still using NW6.5, Zen 7 and GW 7 here...or I am until end of July 31st when our annual licence agreement runs out...Senior management have decided we will switch to a RM CC3 (4 in the summer) network which is currently being built over this easter break.

Why would you want to use anything else?

It might be too late but i'd be tempted to avoid RM unless you're short on staff/windows skills. You can do pretty much anything with a vanilla setup and maybe a couple of third party utils.

Hanging in there but by the end of the summer we will have been assimilated by RM CC4 as our LEA states to our Senior Team that they will not support Novell although their version of support is receiving the issue then phoning RM themselves..........

NW 6.5 SP7 Zenworks 3.0 (which works really well on Client 4.90 SP2 but any later and the policies go wandering!) yet another example of not getting funding for Novell yet huge amounts being chucked at RM to do stuff that Novell invented many moons ago!!!!!

Still running Netware very happily here. Zen 7 is a godsend!

We use NW6.5 sp5 for curriculum - 1600 users - 1 server - no problem...

Well we now have one fewer netware servers as our shared docs and staff home dir server decided to cusinart its RAID controller on Wednesday. I can only assume it decided to throw in the towel rather than face the onslaught of the darkside :-) So i'm down to 2 OES(Netware) and 1 OES(SLES) now and those will be retired over the coming month.

In our LEA 2 schools are still on Netware, and the LA is still on Netware 4.x!

The beauty of Netware is you don't need third party apps.

worked with netware at college of cakes in brum up to this time last year, not sure if they have moved over to AD yet, but it was on the cards.
Im now waiting to hear from a school advertising for a tech thats got a 4.11 network. Fingers crossed there wont be too many applicants that have 9 years expericence with Novell

MS have a large third party software system that they don't like to disturb that's why so many features don't find their way into the basic product, Novel went down the line of doing everything them selves.
