Works well here - supports whatever is thrown at it - including Apples. Debating when to move to OES Linux, but once the AFP support is there, we're going that way.
GW, NW, ZW all up and running. No need to change.
It like go form technic lego to duplo what it idots. I missed the netwear bus you are lucky to have ridden it!
Well, the travel sickness has been acute at times as other parts of the world have changed for better or worse.
However, I'm now a part of a move to make more of Novell in UK education - particularly training people to "go green rather than blue". I've got a meeting at Novell in the US next week with school and university NWAdmins. If you've got anything you want me to say, (that's repeatable!) then you have a small window of time if you want.
Running a combination of novel 6.5, zenworks 7, GW 7, OES linux and windows. Switching more of our servers to run XEN and oes linux.
I find the novel side of things very nice to work with and switching to the new zen suite 10 will be a godsend, NO MORE NOVEL CLIENT!
....and no longer the edirectory requirement either with Zen 10 !!!....well i think that's a good thing.![]()
We use it here in darkest Surrrey as well. NW6.5 sp5 and xp clients everywhere and 40 ndps printers - 1 box.
By the way could anyone point me in the right direction to enable getting Imacs to log into my netware server?
Tom
Load afptcp.nlm Take a look at the sys:/etc/cifsctxs.cfg and the afpvol.cfg file for more information.

Netware 6.5 SP7 and Zen 7 here.
Still using version 5.2 from fresh install on new servers installed in 2002.
It has been rock solid.
Hoping for new servers 2009.Not sure what version to install when this
happens.![]()
Our LA are now switching to AD from Novell 4.x to comply with DWP security requirements.
Not so sure that the DWP have got or provided the correct information there.
Yes, NW4 is outdated and should have been upgraded to NW65/OES, but less of a target than an AD service. NW actually exceeds most of the security requirements of most of the other networked OS - ever since Windows got its security rating provided it didn't have a network card.

What we're being told to enforce is 11 character complex passwords with 20 previous passwords remembered. Apparently NW can't do that??
