Yeah, unfortunately we need just over 35mb of free internal storage for the installer to work. 10mb to cache the download, 10mb to cache the apk during installation, and 10mb for the APK itself to install, plus a smattering of other files. This is pretty high on our priority list for fixing. Sorry for the inconvenience for now, but we'll get it worked out soon. Too many damn languages

That's fresh off the forum wall!!!

The apk shows as around 1.7 for me too...but as you can see, it's all the gubbins around it that makes it so huge!

The Swype Beta is open again for anyone that wants to give it a try. I use it on my HTC Desire and think it's pretty solid.

Great news except when I click on the link, it goes off to a swype webpage that says sorry - you dont have an android phone :(

FOund out have to switch phone browser in Mobile View mode - its now downloading :)

And had to do a lot of app deleting to enable enough space to install it but its in and working (which is good news because my slideit beta expired 2 days ago! :) )

I seem to have lost the actual swype function....

Don't know what I've done, but it no longer accepts the word!!!

Will investigate!!

I thought SlideIT was good until I tried Swype

Seems that there is a bug (it IS beta after all!!) where the facility to swype drops out....

You try to input and the track is there, but then a blue outline goes around the text box, and nothing appears.

Should this happen to you....

Swap back to your normal input method, and type a text.....once this has gone, go back to options and make Swype your keyboard, and it will work again!
