Exchange 2010 + Blackberrys + Nokia E71 problem
Over the summer we've upgraded from Exchange 2003 running on Windows 2003 to Exchange 2010 running on 2008R2 on new hardware.
All has gone pleasantly smoothly and on the whole very pleased with the updates.
There are just two issues that I hope someone might be able to help sort out though.
1. We have 4 staff with Blackberry's. Previously they all happily picked up email from the exchange 2003 box without any hassle just by creating an Exchange email account directly on their Blackberry's. Now, though, we cannot get the Blackberry's to talk directly to Exchange 2010. Is there anything I should be doing that I'm not or do we have to go down the BESExpress route.... which just seems like hassle for simply picking up emails.
I have got round it to an extent by creating a contact within AD for the users' personal email addresses, then setting up Exchange 2010 to forward all emails to their School address to their personal email. This is not ideal though, and we have also found that doing this can affect whether the user can see their attachments in Outlook (turn of the forwarding and the attachments show up fine).
2. Our Head has a Nokia E71.... a phone recommended to her by one of the school porters - not the IT team! This talks to Exchange 2010 fine, with the exception that all email attachments show up as 0Kb in size and if you try to open the attachment you get a message saying it has been deleted from the server - although it is still there in Outlook and OWA.
Any suggestions on why these phones worked fine with Exchange 2003 but have issues with 2010, and any resolutions would be much appreciated.
iPhones and Android phones seem to be working absolutely fine with 2010.
Cheers
