Apologies for the short notice but I have a meeting in an hour about this.
We have 32 i-pads which the teacher now wants Pages, Keynotes and Numbers installed.
Has anyone here used those apps on i-pads in a purely windows environment on multi-user ipads?
If so, how do the students save the work?
We dont use Ipads here (at the moment at least) but ICloud / Dropbox / Emailing themselves could be options.

Google apps works perfectly across all of the devices on our domain without the need for addons like quickoffice and pages.
Unless pages etc gets round the limitation IOS only allows uploading or attaching of photos and videos. So no way to get the files off other than maybe a Dropbox type app
WebDav is an option too!
We've set up WebDAV both here and at a local jr school and it works quiet well. Another alternative to Pages, etc, is the Google Drive app.Quote:

We're using CLOUDON and Dropbox.
I've set up WebDAV at numerous schools. Have a search of the forums to find what I posted.
You may also find it useful to host a proxy.pac file in IIS so the iPads can talk to the World Wide Web :)
We have a .pac file in place.
One thing we can't get working through Link2ICT is Meraki. We can register them everywhere else except from behind Link2ICT proxy. Case is still open (and so is just about every port known to man!!!!)
Funnily enough I've looked at that recently too. You need to open a million and one ports. They also suggested opening 1000 ports, I think it was 63-64,000 which I think is crazy. I hope it's a typo, but I'll soon find out.Quote:
