Hello people of Eduland!
My boss has just bought me a Lumia 800 and I need to know how I would go about transferring all my iPhone contacts (that do exist on iCloud) to my Lumia.
As I am typing this i realize I could export them from Outlook and into the phone. Does Zune (Am i right in thinking that it the desktop software?) have a contacts import utility? And if so, what format?

On my Lumia 920 was an app called Nokia "Transfer my Data" which connected to the iPhone via Bluetooth and synced the contacts. I am unsure if its just a WP8 app but I imagine it will have an equivalent for WP7
Now that is genius. Hopefully thats not just a WP8 thing!
It isn't - I did this on my lumia running 7.5 . They are cracking phones.
There is no direct import sort of the Nokia add on, otherwise you just need to import the contacts into a web accessible place like your exchange server, hot mail/outlook.com etc.
If it is not yet running 7.8 you can force the upgrade:

It gives you the new start screen and all the refinements.
It will be updated to 7.8 literally once it leaves the box! :)

I don't get it until next week! My iPhone is 4 years old and *keeps* losing signal! I think the dark theme will be my preference!

Move your contacts to outlook.com/office 365/even gmail, they then sync with you on which ever phone you use utilizing EAS, iCloud is apple only.

Lumie 800 is a fantastic phone. I loved mine but unfortunately I had an accident involving me, the phone and the floor on new years so I am using an old xperia now and I hate it compared to my WP7.5 OS. Although I got a nice pay rise at the end of the month so I may treat myself to the new 920 :)

As for transferring contacts I managed to export mine to a CSV and then import them into live and added my live account to the phone which was quite easy
