    Phones - Who Uses Auto-Attendant

    Dear All,

    I would be greatful if you guys could post how you have an Auto-Attendant Setup - I've been asked by SLT to find out what other schools user.

    I'm thinking something along the lines of

    Report Absence - 1
    Know the Ext - 2
    Talk to Head of house - 3
    Talk to receptionist - 4 or hold

    2 - Head Of Year (options 1-5 after)
    3 - PE
    4 - IT Support (me)
    5 - Lettings
    Hold for reception

    Enter ext if know or:

    1 - Pupil absence
    2 - staff absense
    3 - (sub menus) house assistants and non Teaching staff (IT, Bursar, HT PA, Personnel, Exams & Admissions)

    Hold for reception

    Pre welcome saying you can dial extension direct

    1 - Absence
    2 - Offices
    3 - Reception

    Out of hours then has separate menu for (day/night mode set by receptionist):
    1 - student absence
    2 - staff absence

    Recently added one here.

    1 - Attendance
    2 - Pupil wellbeing
    3 - Reception

    We also have out of hours, and the above extensions can divert all calls to the voicemail box.

    We have it setup as follows:

    Press 1 if you know the extension number
    2 for student absence/admissions queries
    3 for staff absence
    or hold for reception

    Out of our core hours its setup as follows:

    Press 1 if you know the extension number
    2 for student absence/admissions queries
    3 for staff absence
    or hold to leave a message

    If you know the extension then dial it now.
    1 student absencee
    2 Finance and lettings
    3 Sixth form
    4 Community projects
    5 Staff absence
    Hold for receptionist

    And after 6 rings and our receptionists dont answer (they never do!) it goes to voicemail

    Each of the options has voicemail too if they arent answered

    DAY SERVICE:
    Thank you for calling .
    If you would like to speak to a member of the office staff please press option 1.
    To report an absence please press option 2.
    For IT Services please press option 3.
    If you know the ext bumber of the person you wish to speak to, push option 4.
