What do you guys use for areas which require Wireless Handsets?
Our Heads of House need cordless devices - my idea was to get a Dect Base with multiple wireless handsets which can each be configured for separate Extensions from that base - Is that possible?

Cisco Jabber on iPhone / Android or Cisco Mobile ( at least on iPhone ). Not sure ref settings or how to setup accounts though. Requires a Wi-Fi connection on said handset whether iPhone or Android based mobile phone.
Got it working on one persons android phone and they just logged on with the extension number which they are assigned ie 1101234 or whatever.
Not sure if this is of any use to you , appologies if not

14th February 2012, 07:38 PM #4 Hmm - I have a SIP client on my Desire HD which I have been testing and does work. Will investigate Low Cost Android Devices which will do the Job although I was originally after a device which was dedicated i.e had it's own base station/Dect Access Point.

Will look at them. I've also seen snom m9s which can support 3 concurrent calls and 9 handsets per base station.
Will thank when on a pc.
