    What is the best phone today?

    If your were buying a 'droid today - what model would you get?

    I'm a bit concerned that HTC are dropping trackpads as I use mine all the time to navigate within SMS messages to correct spulling.

    How do other cope with not having one?

    A nice bit of kit but no front facing camera and having to stand in front of a mirror to make video calls on my Desire is not on any more

    HTC Sensation (once it is released in May/June). This improves on the Desire HD in many ways: 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 540x960 Super LCD, front and rear-facing cameras, 1080p video recording, dual microphones, Android v2.3, new Sense UI, higher capacity battery (1520 mAh), lighter (by 14 grams), BlueTooth v3.0, TV out etc. You would have to be mad to buy a Desire HD at this stage.

    @Arthur - but no trackpad

    I'd have to stop biting my index finger nail and put some conductive paint on it

    (mm- maybe time to patent a push on conductive artificial nail )

    BlindType may help with your spulling. I wonder if Google will integrate it into Android v2.4?
