    The good news Is it you bought me a new Windows 7 Phone and are developing it for that? Or is the bad news that WM 6.1 is too new for you and you want me to dig out my old XDA2 from O2?

    That's much better just with the export option (LG GT540). Will be a useful app.

    No the good news we've decided to treat Windows Mobile with the contempt it so richly deserves

    The bad news is we have to now hear you moan about it....

    What do you mean? Keep existing data?

    Anyone fancy doing this - if you create it I'll stick it in

    @people wanting generic app
    Memento is a great app to allow full customising of any storage database you want.

    This app is intended as a straight forward IT equip (computers/projectors/monitors etc) asset logger (well at the moment it is)

    When I installed the new version I only had options to un-install or run no upgrade option.

    Sadly, on my HTCDHD, I can't get scans off of laptop barcodes! Works fine when scanning a box of Nurofen though :-)

    Version 2.21 available SimpleScan_0_21.zip

    Allows for dropdown (Spinner in 'droid speak) selection of Manufacturer or just manual enter them still.

    Any new manufacturer gets added to the database when you store an item.

    The database is automatically saved in an XML file in /sdcard/simplescan/config/ where you can manually alter it (maybe change order to the ones you'll use the most for instance)

    Sorry for delay in this but had to get my head around dynamic spinners!

    I thought it was just me

    I think I'm going to have to find out how to actually read a barcode
