Wireless SIP phones with Push-to-talk capability

Does anyone know of any such phones? Our site has grown over recent years to the extent that there are lots of walls between one end and the other, and as such our existing Motorola XTN446 radios struggle, but we do now have site wide wifi coverage, so using this would make sense.

I'm assuming that your school does provide you all with an iPhone or Android smartphone each?

It isn't for me, its for use by site staff, lunchtime supervisors etc... So, no, we don't issue anything like that, not to mention Skype doesn't have PTT capabilities!

I've found one manufacturer so far - Polycom SpectraLink 8030. But this requires an SVP server, plus each handset is £450. Which is wayy out of our price range.

Take a look at some of the offering used in Retail - Motorola has a PTT WiFi based communications device that it touts for use in supermarkets. It is called the Team Badge EWB100. There may be similar devices from other manufacturers aimed at this market?
