Just hope the Desire is supported and that they add proxy support.
I'm still running Donut on my Android and was looking at upgrading my phone to support Froyo - I would have thought that Froyo would now have proxy support!

Ive not found any proxy support I believe you can add it but you need to root your phone.

Does the following mean the brand new HTC Desire HD will be unable to to run Gingerbread? This has a 4.3" screen with a resolution of 480x800. If so, that's crazy.
Unlike in the past, when Google didn't stipulate any hardware requirements, Gingerbread is implementing minimal hardware requirements (similar to Windows Phone 7). All Gingerbread-powered devices will be running on at least a 1 GHz processor, 512 MB RAM, and 3.5" display (4" displays and larger require resolutions of at least 1280 x 760).
