BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express
Hi,
does anyone know if BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express needs to be installed on an exchange /sbs server? we have a complicated setup so i want to avoid putting this on the server currently (we are going to upgrade our servers to exchange 2010 this year) so would ideally like the system to run from a desktop using XP or windows 7. only about 30 users.
offical System requirements:
Any of the following operating systems:
• Windows Server® 2003 SP2 (32-bit or 64-bit)
• Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 (32-bit or 64-bit)
• Windows Server 2008 SP2 (32-bit or 64-bit)
• Windows® Small Business Server 2003
• Windows Small Business Server 2008
but i have seen it running on XP before!
thanks!

However I'd avoid using a desktop OS - you'll hit trouble if you need support at any point, as its not a recommended config.

You could always run it as a VM too if you wanted to avoid allocating hardware for something so small :-)
