I like where they found it, there’s so many different versions, on a bar, in a bar on the floor, in a bar in the toilet area

This has been running around the net for the past week or so. Certainly hope it's real, rumor has it it'll be released/announced at the WWDC conference at the end of june. My contract with O2 is up on 22nd of July and I must admit I didn't think they'll be releasing this one till next year. But this could be good, all I want is 64Gb and a decent battery and I'll be first in line

Its a little odd that they raided the guy's house. The process as I understand it was:

Apple guy leaves phone in bar
Someone finds it and calls Apple quite a few times trying to return it
    Apple ignore him
Guy with phone now contacts Gizmodo
    Gizmodo buy the phone
    They publish an article
Gizmodo then return the phone to Apple.

So, how is it that it is stolen? Surely the fact that Apple wouldn't take the dratted thing back indicates that they didn't want it? How far does the guy who tried to return it to Apple have to go to give it back? Does he have to put himself out and drive to their HQ? Does he have to force someone to take it off him?

I think Apple just want to be heavy handed. Nice to see that Jason's legal team are fighting back.

Quite interesting that you can't raid his house because he's a journalist and it's effectively his news room? Cool.. not sure how true that is.
