Have you also tried Microsoft Test Exchange Connectivity to see if it works?
The active sync stuff is failing on that test page
What do i put in for the domain?
just my local test.domain ?
I think I might have found some information pertaining to my issue. Does Activesync need to connect via normal http and not https?
Because port 80 is my apache linux webserver and 443 is the IIS/OWA server. (Only have 1 IP and use nat/pat)
ActiveSync is hardcoded to use Https.
Activesync should all be going over 443 as otherwise your passwords and emails will be traversing the internet in plaintext. You can set it up that way but it is not wise.
Maybe im looking at this the wrong way than.. Maybe I should be thinking about the way Exchange is configured rather than the phone..
Can anyone give me a rundown of the things I should have set in Exchange, as Ive probably not got a key component working.
Ok, I found this page that explains what was going wrong:
Exchange ActiveSync Returned an HTTP 500 Error
My account is a domain admin and I didnt have inherit permissions set in AD.
So now it passes all the ActiveSync checks on the www.testexchangeconnectivity.com page, which is good!
Now I just need to figure out how to configure the phone.
