WinMo WiFi .. Worries?

Afternoon. I've recently purchased (on the advice of Ric_ - good call!) an HTC Touch Pro 2 with WinMo 6.5. All's good in the world til I attempt to use in-school wireless.
I've set a proxy on My Work Network and set the WiFi to use the work connection. I can connect and browse the school website and other internals but no bloomin' outside world. If only the browsers had individual proxy settings I think this may work, but alas - I'm at a loose end.

Do you experience the problem in both Opera and IE?

Sorry about the delay.
It's actually Opera that's playing up now you've mentioned it, just internal pages and network only.
Is there a fix around it? I would prefer Opera out of personal choice, but if not I guess I'll have to leave it.
