Question Which PDA? For AND Against

My Head Teachers HP Ipaq 6915 has given up the ghost (keeps resetting @ random intervals).

He has mentioned to me about getting a blackberry.

I've suggested that he could go for a PDA/ipaq instead. Does anyone have any suggestions of what to go for and also what to avoid?

Any comments are greatly appreciated

I'd have thought a Blackberry/iPhone/Windows Mobile/Android type of smartphone would be the best solution nowdays?
