Unable to Sync WM6.1 using WMDC

Upgraded my Phone (O2 XDA Mini S) to WM6.1 today. It all went well and works a treat
Until I came home and tried to resync my Outlook (2007) info back onto my phone - specifically my Contacts..

Unfortunately, WMDC 6.1 (Windows 7 RC1) is refusing to let me sync with Outlook

I have tried recreating partnerships, downgrading to WMDC 6 (It just immediately upgrades itself back to 6.1...) all to no avail

Have exported my Contacts and will try it on an XP Machine in work tomorrow

I have yet to get my new phone to sync on Vista So i re-open my Outlook on an XP Machine and use that to sync to it (talk about pain in the butt!)

Strange, I have had no problems syncing up both WM6 and 6.1 devices on Vista once device center is installed but have not tried it on 7 yet.

Download Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 | Synchronization | Windows Mobile

I have just installed this really easily and sync'd my WM6 phone to it, too easy !!

Doesn't help - but HTC Touch HD syncs fine with Outlook 2007/WMDC/Windows 7 RC

Gatt, Do you hear the usual "bing bong" type noise that Windows makes when a USB device is plugged in?

Does ActiveSync on the desktop even start up?

If so, on your PC goto Start -> Control Panel -> Network Connections. When you plug the PDA in, does a new connection profile eventually show up in the Network Connections window? It will be called something like Local Connection #6 or something similar
