Hi Guys.

I was wondering if any one on the forums had any advice regarding a :

Mobile device for recording data.

I need a hardware device where I can go along freely recording data into a excel spreadsheet on the move. I work in a school and the device will be used to record incidents during school hours by a person on patrol so to speak. It has to be user friendly with a keyboard / keypad.

I was thinking somethin like a blackberry or PDA. any suggestions out there?

A budget of around 300 pounds.

Should have thought it'd be a case of pick a netbook and away you go. You probably want the smallest one you can find, with decent battery life and solid-state storage if it's going to be moved around a lot.
