Hi All,
Does anyone have a blackberry storm, what do you think? i'm currently looking at changing from my n95.
I have read all the reviews about the pants battery life, which has now been fixed.
Can you use bbc iplayer website on the blackberry?
Can it take a 16Gb MicroSD card?
Thanks

19th January 2009, 12:34 PM #3 I wouldn't recommend it, the bold is much better.
They haven't made a new UI for the storm, its just a rehashed Bold OS. So the icons aren't resized properly, look iffy.
in some places the interface feels counter-intuitive.
I don't have one myself, but we've had a few in office to play with.

i think any things got to be better than trying to write and email on a N95.

19th January 2009, 01:33 PM #5 I've have just setup 2 BlackBerry Storms, one for the head and her PA, easy to setup, easy to use, not bad devices................IMO BlackBerryies are alot better than Windows Mobiles by far!!!
I've done alot of BlackBerry setup from BIS and BES.

Is BES needed only if you want to connect to exchange server for email?

19th January 2009, 01:41 PM #7 The 2 blackberry's I just setup I just put in the email server settings for my head and pa and works like a charm!! (on BIS)
But really if you have an exchange server and have a number of blackberry users then BES (BlackBerry Enterprise Server) is the better option and cost effective, plus you have more control on the devices, you can set policy stuff, disable the handhelds etc etc if u had an on-site BES

19th January 2009, 03:21 PM #8 Hi I have a storm and have been more than happy with it.
Like anything new, some parts of it take a little adjusting to but no complaints from me

19th January 2009, 07:53 PM #10 I have heard a lot of negative things about the storm. I have a bold and love it - couple of issues with battery life etc at first but after a couple of firmware upgrades it now lasts for ages.
