I don't have the touch cruise, but have a standard HTC touch.
I love it, on t-mobile myself, get all my email, etc sent to it.
Google maps works great, calendar sync-ing to the exchange server is seamless. It all works really well (never thought i'd hear myself saying that about a windows device).
I wouldn't go back to a non-smartphone
Is T-Mobile the ones offering Fair usage policy of 3GB?
Thing is on a pda the internet never really racks up so much data. I'd imagine a few hundred meg would be sufficient... you'd probably be suprised at how much you won't use it!
Yeah, I got one. I have the O2 Orbit 2 and the Online £35 with unlimited data bolt on.
I dont think the 200Mb limit exists any more, only a "fair use" policy.
I have heavily modified the software on mine to get it running pretty good and I love it.
Check out xda-developers - Xda-developers and look for the HTC Polaris to get loads of resources.
Also, feel free to ask any questions about it!

Na, its running most of the apps it was shipped with, just have some extras to improve usability and a fews mods to existing apps. I can do most phone fuctions from the today screen which is very handy.
Its really easy. It ships with a touch pad which will do T9, multi-tap abc style and numbers and can be changed with 1 touch. You can have word prediction and automatic spellchecking too! You also get the standard stylus keyboard, letter / word recognition, etc.
Just done some screenshots
1. My today screen
2. Writing a txt message
3. Notification of a txt message without having to go into it

So what other Mods have you done to yours?
Quite a few
Various UI tweaks, like showing battery level, removed a useless bar that was on the bottom of the screen, the theme
Wifi VOIP calling using the standard phone app (disabled by default)
Wifi can stay on when device is on standby (switches off by default)
Patch for camera quality
Bluetooth DUN profile
The big clock is a today plugin which interprets an XML file for the layout and behaviour
Automatic keylock after a period of time (Why it isn't standard with the WM6 lock i dont know!!)
Sega Megadrive / Genesis emulator
Replaced supplied 1GB card (for copilot maps) with 4GB
Wireless network scanner
Thats all I can remember for now...
If you get one and want any help, i can point you in the right direction
Lol, na, i've already got 3g / HSDPA / GPS / fairly decent camera with video / 3rd party apps etc. Apart from the theme and the today plugin its standard WM6.
It looks much better than the default O2 theme and far more functional.
Guess What......................
I got one! Just working out how to customize it to how i want it, Looked on the XDA forum and there seems to be a lot of tweaks to make.
The new Touch Diamond will be out before long. That looks like a great bit of kit.
I've got an O2 XDA Stellar coming to replace my XDA Exec I've had for a couple of years. Time to start looking for apps and tweaks again!
