    Play Store Blocked

I've had a shufty on the site and I can't find anything about it.

I'm using CLEO lightspeed internetz and I can't access the play store on my Nexus 7. I've got it as a bit of a test to see if android can do the same as iOS in the classroom.

How can I unblock the play store?

Are there any specific URL's or IP addresses that I can unblock?

Not exactly, but on the local (Hants) filter the App Store doesn't appear to work, and nor does YouTube (though it does on Windows machines, iPads and even a Blackberry Playbook). Never been enough of an issue (so far) to take it further.

gutted. I was hoping to trial this android and to perhaps look at getting a bank of these in the future. If I can't get the play store to work though... then there's no point. Gonna e-mail the LEA.

TCP and UDP traffic on port 5228 is required to use the Play Store.

Unfortunately I don't have a firewall to unblock those ports on. Good to know though if the LEA get back to me

tried unblocking play.google.com, but still can't access from the Nexus. Must be a firewall port thing then!

OK, it's now unblocked. I allowed through:

    play.google.com
    m.google.com
    google.com

    Now works fine. Huzzah!
