I have an Android tablet that I've connected to the wireless here which has obtained an IP address through DHCP and through this I would expect it to be able to use DNS to resolve hostnames etc. Doesn't look to be the case and have found information about known issues with Android devices don't use the DNS search path provided by DHCP and as a result, only FQDN are resolved.
This was information given back in 2011 and would have hoped this no longer to be the case but still appears that DNS isn't being resolved. Am I missing the obvious?

Ah well. Thanks for confirming this. Strange how it's happy to resolve an upstream proxy host record though!!
