    Updating them

    Hi,

We normally uses Merarki to update the ipads. However this is not really working as we would like.

I still have a mac with apple configuration on that I used to first set up the Ipads.
Is it possible to connect the ipads back up to this and update them and the apps with out looking any of the settings?

ie the kids all have there own ipad which is logged into google drive. I wouldnt want them to have to re enter there credentials.... or using pages i wouldnt want them to loose there work.

    Cheers
    matt

So I tried the other day using apple configurator > in the supervise section settings I have
Update iOS: When update is available
    Restore: Dont restore backup <<<!!!!!!!!!
    Lock to App :None
    Profiles : Meraki Management

In the Apps I have updated the apps to the new versions.

Plugged in iPad> did its thing iPad comes back on with the welcome screen > go through it setting language again wifi credentials ?!? then i get to a page saying Restore and the only choices I have are Set up as new Ipad / Restore from iCloud or / Restore from Itunes ? there is no skip options ...... I dont want to restore anything I just want to update the apps.

The only way out of it was to set up as new iPad all the apps were updated but all the users work had gone.

    What am I doing wrong?

Dont want to use merarki to update them all due to the size of the updates as it brings out network to a halt
