Photo Tagging App to link to a school floor plan...
Firstly... Is there a forum section on Edugeek directly for app's?? Couldn't find one, so posted in here.
The head has asked if there is such an App for iOS (iPad) where he can have loaded into it a floor plan of the school site, he would then like to take photos, and link them to areas on the floor plan, maybe like some kind of Mindmapping links etc.
Basically, the idea is, as he's walking the school and see things that need attention, i.e. Handle broken, fencing damage etc he would like to take a snapshot, pin it to the floor plan, so there caretaker/business manager can see the damage needing repair and the location.
Any ideas of anything available that could be used to do this. I know taking photos on a iPhone has GeoTagging and will show up on a world map, but this needs to be on a custom imported map.

It sounds as though this would be a fairly easy app to make if you have some experience with app development.
If not, would something like google drive not work? Just put the image in a word doc and let everyone have access. Or there must be a task manager app where you could add different sections of the school (not with an image though).

Why not just put it in whatever call logging system you have already under a category for facilities/site management, and give the site staff the ability to action calls in this queue?

Depends on if there is site wide wireless access I guess.
I was thinking an app that had pre-filled locations, possible pre-filled faults and then attaching a picture and sending it all as email report.
I guess that email could go in to the call logging system but the email would be handy as it will cache on the device if unable to send straight away.
