    From the link above:

It will initially be launched with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 dual-core processor, which is required for LTE 4G compatibility. The much-publicised Samsung Octa-core processor will be found in a second edition also due later this year, which will be available only on 3G networks.
Is this right? I've not read it anywhere else...

Post here when it arrives, and we can start discussing how brilliant/rubbish it is!!
Well I got all excited last night when DPD sent me confirmation of delivery of my S4 for today. Tracked it this morning and its at my local depot in Newcastle. I live on the south coast. Only 350 miles off where it needs to be. As you may expect I'm not getting it today now . Phoned DPD and to be fair to them they were very helpful and apologetic and have booked it for a redelivery tomorrow (Saturday) morning. Just have to hope that someone doesn't decide that since its marked M-F delivery to ignore the Saturday delivery request that the barcode is giving them!!

It's true that there are two S4's* - the GT-i9500 (Exynos 5 Octa) and GT-i9505 (SnapDragon 600). The UK gets the slower and less power efficient SnapDragon model.

    * Three if you include the Korea only model.

    On this point....

When I made my upgrade call, the O2 guy tried to tell me that I would be getting the Octa-core model. I did explain that only the quads were coming to Blighty, but he seemed oblivious to this point!

I AM expecting a quad core, so if he IS right, I'll be amazed!!

EDIT: And I'm getting a bit antsy now.....Halfway through the delivery slot....No phone yet....

Just hoping mine actually arrives tomorrow! I'm moving from a iPhone 4S so this will be my first Android phone - got plenty to play with

What are peoples thoughts after having it for a weekend? Anything astoundingly new and worth rushing out to buy it for?

Mine arrived on Saturday, and having had iOS devices for the last 4 years I'm still getting used to the flexability! Liking the huge screen though. My iPhone 4S feels tiny in comparison now.

Yeah, I've been using android since it was released and am a big fan - much prefer it to iOS, and as you say, I think it's down to the flexibility and all the nitty-gritty stuff you can access in comparison to iOS.

I was more wondering how the phone its self runs - anyone tried anything demanding with it? Can it manage it? It being a flagship device with such good specs, I'm expecting some interesting development for it...

Anyone tried the Samsung eye-tracky-turny-pagey thing (TM)?

    Right...so I've had it for a week....

And I have to say....I love it!!

I have used the eye-tracky-turny-pagey thing, and think it's a little over rated, but the phone really is good overall....

Now off to meet my bro and see his HTC One...

Let the battle of the Superphones commence!

The HTC one is pretty good actually, but mainly for the nifty camera tricks it has up its sleeve. Other than that I'd say nothing to show off. I don't reckon much to the front facing speakers on them if I'm honest...

I've had a HTC One for a month now. They're an amazing phone. The speakers are superb, not sure why you don't like them? The quality of the audio is excellent to say the least.

In terms of the performance and the way it runs android, I think it's a great phone! In terms of the speakers, I just don't think they're as ground breaking as HTC made them out to be - the quality is good don't get me wrong, it's not often you get good quality stereo speakers on a phone, but I was expecting them to be louder too.

IMO, the placement of the speakers also makes it a bit awkward to hold, but then again I suppose that's all down to the personal preference.

Love the zoe function on the camera though - was very impressed with that!
