Management, Deployment Model and the Future?
50 iPads on site and we need a comprensive way of remote management. Looked at Meraki but does not fit our needs (We want something on site), Looked at Profile Manager and nearly died. (Its rubbish), so a few questions...
- What are you using to manage your iPads as they make their way into the school environment?
- If your using cloud based management, why did you go for that over on-site?
- What iOS Deployment Model are you using (Personal, Institutional or Layered)?
- If you are using a multi-user senario, what are you using for File Management?
- And where do you see the future going and/or what would you like to see in iOS 7
At lot of people are having to start managing these things now, so lets hear what you have!
I am a confident in PHP and C#, so I could most likely build a PHP MDM Payload...

Well I'd recommend Lightspeed MDM but that's cloud based too.
Is there any reason why you particularly need on premise rather than cloud based?

I'd second for Lightspeed, most MDM' s are cloud based.
For file sharing and copying content from iPads we resell this solution...
