Virgin Media network.

anybody on the virgin media network?

I see they use Orange and T-mobile signal, im with Virgin for tv, internet and house phone so apparently i get some sort of discount. im currently on Orange but my contract is up soon.

any use them and know how good they are?

I am with Virgin for TV, broadband, phone and mobile. We are connected via fibre and most of the time the service is good. I have a headline connection speed of 10 Mb and when I have tested it in the past I have had good speeds reported: Better than 9 Mb.

However I have also had results like this reported:



I have had patchy service from Virgin from time-to-time: There have been three occasions when I thought that I might start looking around for another provider. The most recent was Summer last year.

In summary I would say that I am happy with Virgin's service. It could be better but I guess you could say that about most providers?

OT: The orange/t-mobile partnership STILL have an issue with the signal flip-flopping between the two in low-medium signal areas. They've tried to fix it a number of times and it still effects everyone I know who uses them.

That said, I don't know how that integrates with the virgin APNs...

I've had a Virgin mobile for a couple of years and I find the signal to be pretty reliable (Plymouth, Southampton, North Wales). Strangely enough in my house I get a much better signal with Virgin than with an Orange SIM in the same phone and they both use the same network!
