Good news, N4 battery can be removed and the back can be replaced, couple of screws.
Bad news, some gadget review sites as as bias as videogame sites.

This might explain why CPW's prices are so high for the Nexus 4.
Phone House España, the Spanish arm of Carphone Warehouse, has stated on it's Facebook page that it is refusing to stock the Nexus 4, as LG want to charge a Recommended Retail Price of €599 Euros (£479.58 according to xe.com) per device.
Google Play mentions this regarding purchasing devices:
So if you don't live in these countries, you can currently expect to pay nearly twice the cost for a Nexus 4, compared to someone who lives in the above countries and can purchases their phone from the Play Store
Devices on Google Play is currently only available to customers in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Spain, United Kingdom, and United States.
. This also explains the crazy contract prices we are seeing for the Nexus 4, just because you have not purchased directly from the Google Play Store. (Source

You would have thought Google's servers could handle the load. What a disappointment!

Just had a email receipt, the order actually went though!
I spoke to them 5 mins previously and they said no orders on system!

Well, after many errors and fraud prevention phoning me up, I have my order number and a receipt email! Hopefully it will arrive Thursday/Friday.

Android 4.2-Gate: Here Are Some Of The Major Issues Plaguing Google's Newest Release
We all love Android, and we also love when Google releases a new iteration of our favorite mobile OS. Sometimes, though, even Google screws up a bit, and Android 4.2 is looking to be one of the most bug-ridden releases since Honeycomb. And, let's be honest: 4.2 isn't exactly the leap that 2.3 to 3.0 was, either. Chances are, if you're on Android 4.2, you've experienced at least one of the issues here. Some aren't that bad, but some can just ruin your day, and we're a little shocked Google missed them.

Had nearly a week now. Such a step up from the Galaxy S2 in display, touchscreen, battery life, smoothness, speed, build quality.
Only downsides so far as the back is easily scratched and it seems to be on the move all the time. Put it on a flat surface, look away and its made its way towards the edge. Charging via USB seems to be a bit hit and miss.
4.2.1 calendar is fixed.

Just as a sidenote to the Nexus love-in (which I entirely understand!....Would get one myself, but waiting for upgrade in April!!) 4.2 is now installed on my SGS!
And very nice and smooth it is too! Waiting to see if they can port Photosphere, but everything else works great!

No issues with usb charging though, is the pin on your port damaged at all?

Mine doesn't appear correctly on my work W8 PC, it does at home fine on W8 laptop and desktop. Not had time to sort it out.

Photosphere is great, I bodged it onto my GS2, but much quicker on the N4. Someone has put up on github some code to load photosphere pics on websites too.... so all those schools that use really expensive brought in 360 shots can now be matched for free.

The Nexus 4 is sold out again!
I doubt LG are going to get chosen to make another Nexus device after this shambles.
