So it seems this was launched today: Apple (United Kingdom) - Education - Volume Purchase Programme - but I cannot for the life of me get it to work. Clicking on 'Enrol Now' takes me to an enrollment page which up on loading jumps again and gives a page not found.
Is anyone else seeing this?
No problems here. This was a few minutes ago.
Well that's just typical. I've been trying all day in work to get this done and at home this evening on a Windows 7 laptop (IE9 etc).
I read the above posts on my Mac and try again - it is now working.
This is in Canada as well. My Apple rep called today to pass this information on to us for education purchasing.
Finally been waiting for this for a while
About time this existed! Is it just iOS apps, or does it apply to OS X software too?
Great stuff - would come out on the first day of term though. People asking for apps a plenty already
Just reading through the notes. Does it actually require a credit card to purchase the apps? as mentioned here
"How to I purchase apps in volume?
Log in to the Volume Purchase Programme Education Store with your new Apple ID. After login, you can search for apps by name. Using a credit card, you can then purchase apps in the quantity you need."
Or can you still use a gift card. Going to be a bit of a pain if i have to get a credit card authorised for every purchase.
I've enrolled. Just waiting to here back...
The 'Enrol Now' seems to be working now. Has anyone actually enrolled and is currently using the volume licensing programme?
I have enrolled successfully (using Google Chrome on Windows to signup), but haven't purchased any apps yet.
