Change document type lookup

Does anyone know if you can change the 'type' drop down on the linked douments? Had a look through the setup menu and the lookups section but can't see it. I've added the field in question below:

99% sure the answer is no. You can't change them.

What are you trying to achieve @Brucy ? Even with custom types, reporting on them or doing anything useful isn't really easy.

Just make a slight amendment to a name, don't want to add/delete/report on anything

Hmm, probably not then. You could change the label for 'type' but i doubt that will help.
