SIMS and ISA
We are having a small problem with parent re-setting their passwords. We use ISA 2006 to authenticate our parents against AD and use the built in password reset facility within the logon page (we donít use the Capita web part). In a number of parents have reset their password and are then denied access. I have to reset their password via AD. We have checked the ISA settings and it all looks correct.
Has anyone had anything similar?
Are you allowed to not use the Capita webpart? I'd have thought that affects consolidation or is that only for staff/student accounts.
I thought it was compulsory to use the webpart. Try checking if the ISA and AD are syncing properly.
We have not consolidated our pupils of staff as yet. The parent accounts are new accounts created from SIMS and don't have to be consolidated. I was not aware that we had to use the capita webpart. I am not sure why they would require you to use it. We use AD to reset any accounts internally and the parent use the built in ISA tools (if they worked!).
